Terms and Conditions
General
These terms and conditions govern the operation of the online shop, users’ rights and the commercial relationship between the supplier and the customer. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the website. By using this website, you confirm that you have been informed of and accept these terms and conditions, the personal-data protection policy and the legal notice. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website. Our webpages may contain links to other websites that are not controlled by the supplier. Responsibility for their content lies solely with their respective authors and not with the supplier. The supplier and all authors involved in creating the supplier’s online content are not responsible for any damage resulting from access to such content, its accuracy, the inability to use the information or any errors or omissions it may contain. The supplier reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions by updating this publication. Any amendments will be binding upon you.
User registration
Registration is not required to place an order. Simply complete the required fields with your personal and delivery information. On the first page where you enter your details, select the “Save my details for next time” box. This means you will not need to enter the same information again when placing another order.
Payment methods
– Credit card (Mastercard, Visa and American Express). To ensure the highest level of payment security, online credit-card transactions are protected by Verisign certification and processed through a secure server using SSL encryption. This system encrypts the information you enter, making it impossible for it to be intercepted.
– Cash on delivery (payment in cash when the goods are received). The order must be paid for in cash to the courier delivering the parcel. Parcels are delivered by BRT, and no additional cash-on-delivery fee will be charged.
– PayPal. To pay through PayPal, send us your order number and the email address associated with your PayPal account. We will then send you a payment request. Once payment has been received, we will dispatch your parcel. PayPal is a 100% secure payment method.
Delivery times and methods
Our online shop accepts orders 24 hours a day. All orders received from Monday to Friday before 2:00 pm will be dispatched on the same day. Orders received after 2:00 pm will be dispatched on the following working day. Orders received on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays will be dispatched on the first working day. If a product is no longer available when the order is placed, the delivery period will be extended according to the time required for the manufacturer to supply the product. The availability of each product is clearly indicated. Our delivery partner is BRT.
Product prices
Product prices in the online shop are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include value added tax (VAT). Prices are valid at the time the order is placed and do not have a predetermined period of validity. Prices apply when payment is made using the methods and under the conditions described above. Although we make every effort to ensure that the information displayed is accurate and up to date, pricing information may occasionally be incorrect. In this case, or if the price of a product changes while the order is being processed, the supplier will allow the customer to cancel the purchase and will also offer a mutually acceptable solution. The sales contract between the supplier and the customer is concluded when the supplier confirms the order. From that moment, all prices and other conditions are fixed and binding upon both the supplier and the customer. Unless otherwise stated, products offered through the online shop are available while stocks last.
Delivery charges
Delivery costs £5.40, or £6.60 for deliveries to islands.
Priority delivery
Priority delivery is a service offered to customers who would like their order to be processed sooner. Customers who pay for this service receive priority processing regardless of the time at which the order was placed. If two or more customers select this service, priority will be given to the customer who selected it first.
Placing an order
First, select the product you would like to purchase and click the “Add to basket” button. The number of products ordered and their total value will be displayed in the basket at the top right of the page. To remove a product or reduce its quantity, click the “Basket” button and select the required quantity, or click the “Bin” icon to remove the product. To begin completing your order, click the “Buy” button. The online shop will guide you through the following stages:
Step 1 – Customer information. Enter your email address and delivery details, including your first name, last name, address and telephone number.
Step 2 – Delivery. Select a delivery method and enter the delivery address if it differs from the address provided in the previous step.
Step 3 – Payment method and completion of the order. Select your preferred payment method and complete the order. If you have a promotional code, enter it in the relevant field.
Step 4 – Review and confirmation of the order.
After submitting your order, you will receive a summary of the products ordered at your email address. Customers can access information about the status and contents of their order through the supplier’s website at any time. The purchase contract between the customer and the supplier is concluded at this stage. By clicking “Confirm order”, you acknowledge that you are familiar with and accept the terms and conditions published on the supplier’s website. The sales contract in Slovenian is available to the customer at any time by clicking the Terms and Conditions link at the bottom of the webpage.
Order cancellation
Due to the speed with which orders are processed and dispatched, an order may be cancelled within three hours of it being received.
Money-back guarantee
All products are covered by our “Money-back guarantee”. If a product does not fully meet your expectations, it may be returned WITHIN 30 DAYS of the date on which it was received, in its original and undamaged packaging, by following the stated refund procedure.
Our “Money-back guarantee” extends the usual 14-day period for distance selling to 30 days. The guarantee applies to all products except software and products personalised at the customer’s request, for which the right of withdrawal is also excluded under Article 5, paragraph 3(c), Legislative Decree 185/99. The customer is responsible for return-delivery costs.
Right of withdrawal
Under Article 64 and subsequent articles of Legislative Decree 206/2005, the Consumer Code, the customer has the right to withdraw from the purchase contract for any reason and without providing an explanation, subject to the conditions set out below. To exercise this right, the customer must contact our customer service team by email at info@alfamedic.co.uk. The goods must then be returned at the customer’s responsibility and expense within 30 days of the delivery date, rather than within the ten days provided for by the Consumer Code.
Returning damaged deliveries
If the parcel is physically damaged, has missing contents or shows signs of having been opened, the customer must submit a complaint to the nearest BRT depot. The parcel must be taken to the nearest depot in the same condition in which it was received, without anything being added or removed, and a complaint report must be completed. In cooperation with the BRT office, we will ensure that the complaint is resolved as quickly as possible.
Protection of personal data
We understand that protecting the personal data of visitors to and users of our online shop is extremely important. We therefore guarantee the security and protection of personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA-1). By registering online, the user agrees that their personal information may be stored and used exclusively to fulfil the order. The supplier undertakes to protect all users’ personal data permanently. User data will never be disclosed to unauthorised persons. Users are also responsible for protecting their personal data by keeping their usernames and passwords secure.
Newsletter subscription
The supplier may contact the user through remote communication methods only if the user has explicitly consented. Consent includes subscribing to our newsletter through the online shop, selecting the “Subscribe to the newsletter” box during registration to receive website updates, new offers and promotional campaigns, or submitting a subscription request through another communication channel.

However, product characteristics, availability, delivery conditions or prices may change so quickly that the supplier is unable to update the information on the website immediately. In this case, the customer will be informed of the changes and allowed to cancel the contract or replace the ordered product.

Legal notice

Complaints and disputes
The supplier complies with applicable consumer-protection legislation. The supplier will make every reasonable effort to fulfil its obligation to establish an effective complaint-handling system. Complaints may be sent by email to info@alfamedic.co.uk. Within five working days, the supplier will confirm receipt of the complaint, inform the customer how long it is expected to take to process and keep the customer updated throughout the procedure. The supplier recognises that a key feature of consumer disputes, particularly when they are resolved through legal proceedings, is the imbalance between the financial value of the claim and the costs involved in resolving the dispute. This may present a significant obstacle to the customer commencing court proceedings. The supplier will therefore make every reasonable effort to resolve disputes amicably.
Alternative dispute resolution
The supplier also allows disputes to be resolved outside the courts in accordance with the CONSUMER ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION ACT.
